An Experienced Traveler

For many years now I have traveled across the lands as a professional artist.

Whether it be roaming the hills and marshes as a plein air painter or as visual effects artist squirreled away behind the flickering glow of a computer monitor.

Through the years, I have worked as a creative gladiator in serveral arenas. I started touring long ago as a founding member of a mural arts program in Seattle, then as an interior designer, owning and running multiple locations across several cities, and now I create worlds as a matte painter, concept artist, 3D generalist and dealine fireman for feature, game, and advertising studios.

Now that I have gained dual citizenship (Irish/American), I have have expanded my horizons and work with artists and directors around the world.

The Giving Tree

As a little kid growing up in Seattle during the early 80's, some of my earliest memories include drawing robots and running around on theater catwalks. With a Millennium Falcon tucked under my arm and a geode in my pocket, it was within both scientific and artistic atmospheres, my love of stage and film first seeded and began to grow.

As I grew older, my father exposed me to nature, computers and the world of geophysics, and in my mother's theater, The Intiman, I was first drawn to the arts, stage design and lighting. Through the years, I never stopped drawing, creating characters and most importantly, the worlds they may inhabit.

The seed has now grown into a firm tree over the years, baring the fruits of collabaration and creation. Some most notably gaining awards and nominations from the likes of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Visual Effects Society and The British Film Academy...and just like a tree, I'm not done growing yet.
